In the spirit of “ideas worth sharing”. TEDxXIE hosted its sixth edition of the independently organised TEDx event. Like the spirit of TEDx suggests the event had talks & speakers from all walks of life. The exemplary ideas that deserved a platform were shared by the speakers.
The event was held under the mentorship of Prof. Suvarna Aranjo and was organised by a third-year IT student, Tanay Modi who got his License approved by TED on 17th December 2020.
The audience witnessed 6 extraordinary speakers who shared ideas that had the power to change people’s lives, ways of thinking and ultimately the world.
A Voice-Over Artist and an Actor. Started his Voiceover career with Dance India Dance. He is the Narrator's voice behind the famous Indian Reality Show BIGG BOSS. An MBA by qualification, he has made his acting debut with THE FAMILY MAN in 2019 with Manoj Bajpayee and has acted in various other shows like Mirzapur 2 and Breathe 2. He has also worked in many plays including playing Chanakya in an English Play titled "ALEXANDER VS CHANAKYA".
A multi-talented personality, she is a Leading Space Architectural Designer at marssociety.ca, an Aspiring Astronaut Trainee at NASA, a Philanthropist at VNergy, Public Speaker, and an enthusiastic Athlete! She has been appreciated for her contributions in the industry with awards like "Global Icon Award as India's youngest icon in Space Architecture", "Lunar Base Award", and other International and National accolades in design. A quote that tries to encapsulate her inspirational personality- “The Universe resides within us and we are capable of achieving a substantial purpose, so we must thrive to inhabit Mars” – Aastha Kacha
An excellent Product Designer determined to solve human problems. His sheer passion to design drives him to create experiences that last. Set on the path to being an Engineer, his motivation towards Photoshop and Designing while designing for college events drew him towards being a Product Designer. Currently a successful Sr. Product Designer at Airtel India, he has designed lasting experiences for Times Internet, Genpact and Appinventiv. He is struck by the intention to install design thinking in brands looking to create a digital presence.
She is a Passionate Indian singer who Started Very Young. She Participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs and Was Adjudged as the 'Best Female Singer' as well as a finalist too. Her Contribution is Widely Known Through a number of songs in Bollywood. Her first major breakthrough came when she sung for the movie Raees as the voice behind the Evergreen Hit 'Laila Main Laila'. She has also been the voice behind hit songs like Sweety Tera Drama from Bareilly Ki Barfi, Sahiba from Phillauri, Bewafa Beauty from Blackmail & many more. Apart from being a playback singer, she is also an independent artist & an entrepreneur who runs her record label "Blue Karma Music". Her independent songs like Khumaar, Meherbaan, Nazdeekiyaan, etc are winning hearts across the world.
Former international footballer, he has played for over 14 years of professional football in India. Currently is a National team Assistant Coach for the Indian under 17 women’s World Cup team, and holds an Asian Football Confederation (A) license certificate as a coach.
Former Miss Elegance World, Konkana Bakshi is a well-known face in India. She is trained and licensed to offer the highly sophisticated and advanced business etiquette curriculum, by the prestigious Emily Post Institute, Vermont, USA as well as at the reputed London Image Institute. Founder and Director of the Savoir Faire Academie, Konkana brings to the fore, her well-deserved reputation as the only Indian to have won the ‘Miss Elegance’ title. She is a dedicated humanitarian, actively involved in pertinent philanthropic causes and she’s closely involved with “ Habitat of Humanity”.
The credit for organising such an awe-inspiring event goes to all 30 team members of TEDxXIE 2021. The dedication and mindset of the team working in the midst of the pandemic is what led to this unleashing of new ideas to inspire.
